Fullview Baptist Church Breaks Ground on New Multipurpose Building

Posted by | March 02 2016

On Sunday, February 21, 2016, Chris Woods, Dwayne Mattox and John Fee of Chris Woods Construction along with members of Fullview Baptist Church  and Doug Burris of Renaissance Group Architects gathered to break ground on a new multipurpose building.  This will be the third project Chris Woods Construction has built for Fullview Baptist Church.   The new 6,400 square foot building with a brick and stucco façade will function as both classrooms and fellowship areas.  The new facility also includes a new 35,000 SF parking lot that will add over 100 new parking spaces and a new drive access to St. Elmo.  The flexibility of the space is made possible with a series of operable partitions that will allow for the conversation of the space to fit the needs of the church at different times.   The 1.8 million dollar project is excepted to be completed in October of 2016.  Reverend Walter Peggs stated “when the church decided to take on this project, we had already decided that Chris woods Construction would be the contractor since they did such a tremendous job with our other two building projects.  All we had to do was decide on the architect.  We have been very pleased with the decision to hire Doug Burris and Renaissance Group.  Chris Woods Construction and Renaissance Group have made a great team.”
