New Transportation Terminal

Chris Woods Construction was selected to serve as the Construction Manager for Crete Carrier Corporation’s new trucking facility in West Memphis, Arkansas.  The new facility consists of a two structures with a  total square footage of 22,000 as well as large parking area for their trucks and trailers while being serviced or stored.  The office area will house support staff for the area and includes some unique features such as 24-hour access to amenities for dog kennels and dog washing stations, onsite laundromat, multiple private shower rooms as well as a spacious trucker’s lounge area complete with big screen TV with lots of seating and services.

Additionally, the project included a separate maintenance and repair shop trucks and trailers.  The shop has multiple storage areas as well as a mezzanine to store all parts needed to keep their trucks rolling.  The state of the art shop includes a truck service pit, multiple service bays, along with additional offices and breakroom for maintenance staff.  The new $4.8 million dollar facility was completed in 11 months.
